I mean it's pretty easy to find hundreds of hentai animated videos. Along with yuri animated hardcore videos on the same website. With all the kinks you can think of.
But yaoi or smut....I'm not sure why it's like this.

To anime production companies, sales and views play a major role. A large percentage of yaoi/shounen-ai watchers/readers are women and it just wouldn't sell well to the male audience.

That still doesn't make since if the majority yaoi/shounen-ai readers/watchers are women then what would be the point of pandering to a male audience.

As I said, anime production companies only agree to make the anime's that they predict will have good sales. If most of the yaoi viewers are female, it would sell more to the female and less to the males. Roughly 80% yaoi viewers are female whereas the other percent is male. The anime's the companies agree to produce are gearing towards ones that sell to both genders. You have to pay attention to how many people actually watch anime in general. Males tending to be the one's who are more interested in it than the females overall. In all honesty, it's not the content they care about, it's the results (⊙…⊙ )

Basically, generally...
- BL made by a woman for a woman
- Hentai made by a man for a man

it doesn't really depend on the male-female percentage.

@op: no matter how much you or anybody else thinks otherwise, the market for uncensored yaoi is REALLY small. kind of similar to how worldwide manga sales is only a third of how big the manga market in japan, despite how countries all over the world add up the revenues. in the same way, het anime porn is a more viable money-maker than gay anime porn.

also, i want to add that hentai existed way back in japan while yaoi started having a steady stream of fans only around 1990s to 2000s. it's virtually not well known at the time and it's still young.
