It's called compassion. That feeling you get when you see another person being imprisoned in the dark, chained like a dog, getting beaten, having his arm broken, raped multiple times over the course of a month, starved, strangled... I guess that feeling is unfamiliar to you.

Your right its unfamiliar to me I've never used someone for my own pleasure never been kidnapped and never been an asshole to anyone so yea it's definitely unfamiliar territory.

I'm not calling you selfish but I really don't get people like you. Let's say, if you see a person suffering due to cancer. You don't need to experience the cancer yourself to feel compassion for them. You probably have never been through situations where seeing another human being/animal suffering feels so painful that you wish you can exchange places with them.

I feel pity on the guy because he's getting waay too much of a punishment.
Let's not forget Dohyun was already living a pretty unfulfilled life even before he was kidnapped. So I personally thought that was enough, as I stated previously.

Of course as someone told me in my last comment section this isn't for "revenge" extactly but that Sungho still "loves" Doyhun. So I don't know how to feel about Sungho, I've known friends who've been with partners like Doyhun (they were innocent too), who've dealt with such problems in more graceful or at least sane ways. Without stooping to such low levels.

Lmao did you really compare this to cancer. Of course I have compassion for people with cancer it's a deadly disease that anyone can have and die from Warehouse however is about a toxic relationship formed from the past. I have compassion just not for Dohyun but I do find his situation very unfortunate and terrible.

But do you by chance feel "pity" instead of "compasion" for Doyhun? If not then that's okay. The words pity and compasion are close but far off.
If you were to feel pity for Doyhun it's means you may feel like his situation is wrong, but you feel at the same time that some of it is his fault.
Ex: "I disliked him, but I pited him"
Compasion on the other hand would mean you feel bad for him and you want to help him.

You completely missed their point regarding the cancer comparison. They were saying that you don't have to be in a situation to feel sorry for people in that situation. They weren't saying that cancer is as bad as a toxic relationship like you're making it out to be.

Anyway, what Dohyun did in the past is nothing compared to everything he's going through right now. This "revenge" is a whole lot worse. A toxic relationship doesn't justify beating someone up, taking their freedom, raping them and almost killing them. I feel sorry for the child Sungho but not the adult.

Your right I can feel bad for a person even though I never been in that situation however if I never been in that situation how can I truly grasp what that person is feeling. Sure I can feel sorrow for people with cancer but since I've never experienced that personally I really won't understand how that person feels.

and you also have to remember that Dohyun never forced Sungho and that he did what he did with Sungho consensually,he never forced him,he never beat him,he never did anything to him forcefully.

Sungho really liked him and was desperate to keep him with him,even if it meant doing things he didnt like.

Everybody was once an innocent child. Then you grow up. Sungho was not THAT innocent: He was willing to trade sex for "friendship." He was complicit in that situation.k EVeryone talks as if Sungho had no free will, no mind, no soul. Was just this robot who did what Dohyun said.

Besides, Dohyun never forced Sungho. He simply laid out what he wanted and Sungho could go along or not. If I meet someone with an interest in, say, stargazing. I may want to hang with them and watch stars, but I may not be interested in any friendship beyond that. I may say, "Next time you wanna go with a telescope and look at stars in the park, call me up." If they want MORE of a relationship and are only pretending to like stars in order to be with me, is that my problem?

I make it clear I don't want dinner or lunch or to go to a movie. I'm only interested in interacting with them if it's about stars, cause they have maybe a telescope or some good star charts.

No, if they keep going out starwatchign with me even though they now HATE IT, because they wanna be with me, but I don't wanna do anything other than starwatching---who is at fault for doing what they do not want to do?

Dohyun did not force himself on Sungho. Sungho forced HIMSELF to do things to be with Dohyun. Sungho was not innocent. He was obsessed.

I'll add that XXX and Timewalker on here have been giving some translations (as native speakers) that shed a different light. Dohyun says he LIKED Sungho and thought the sex was mutual. So, again, if Sungho undresses and goes along with Dohyun, Dohyun not being the most empathetic dude in school, why would he not think Sungho wanted to do it.

Dohyun is not a deep thinker or empathetic. He's just a guy who wants to have fun and no deep relationships. He was that way and he is that way.

Sungho, I suspect, was nuts from the get-go, or someone very fragile and ready to go nuts. But how would Dohyun have known that? He's not a psychic.

So up to now, Dohyun has earned NOT ONE THING Sungho has done. He may earn it later (the Evil Deed referred to in the diary of which we don't know yet what the hell it was.)
