It was either shounen ai or yaoi. The mc was really good at everything, and he was playing a game he created with his brother. He ended up falling in love with a "bug character" or something. Someone came into the game to get rid of the character but the mc protected him. Eventually mc stopped playing the game, but went back and saw that his lover had been waiting for a long time
That newest chapter had more explanation, action, and actual use than the last 20 or so.
