You know, it's getting really annoying that people aren't following our wishes to not have new chapters posted to other sites until after 12 hours has passed. Those who share it elsewhere are just doing so for the "glory" of being the one to upload it. We don't ask for anything other than a delay in release for our chapters to other sites. Know why? Because we want people to actually and actively go to OUR site where we don't have ads. Unlike places like this, aggregates, who have hundreds of ads and are making money off your every view using OUR hard work as a medium.

Due to the way that mangago is blatantly putting their own watermarks over our hard work, if I see our stuff updated on here with that shit again, I will make our works avalible only on our website to logged in users.

Mrm is also doing it. They have a reason but I don't remember. However they place their watermark under the actual image, not ON the image.

I wonder if both Mangago and MRM having the watermarks is at all related to Batoto shutting down? They probably had bots pull scans from there so maybe now that Batoto will be gone, maybe they don't want reader sites ripping from them. Either way, it's disrespectful & misleading. They didn't put any work into the scans, all they do is host them (often against the scanlators wish). Not that I expect much integrity from a reader site that also has official English releases from Lezhin up.

I contacted mangago and they said they will keep putting watermarks in the form of blue dots on the bottom right corner :/
They are sending the same response to everyone who has emailed them.
I find this response rather hilarious as you can go to several of our released chapters and find watermarks from both Mangafox and Myreadingmanga. Which means they are taking scans from other sites in the first place and adding their water mark on top of the preexisting mark from the other two sites.
It’s like an internal fight of aggregator sites that is throwing scanlators in the middle of it.
A blue dot IS better than their stupid icon in the middle of the page, however, they are being highly hypocritical about the whole process saying other sites are taking from them. What about the sites you’re taking from? What about the scanlators who do all the work so you get your money off of your shitty ads?
They should pay scanlators for every goddamn watermark they add.
