I dunno coz if I remember correctly their relationship is just platonic. He's not really inlove with FL he just consider her as a close friend.
Does anyone know if she left the palace with her real family? Like did she choose the mage tower after all? or anywhere else? or did she stay in the palace after all? (I really hope she leaves the palace)

I read somewhere that she did leave the palace, she went to the mage tower with her brothers and father. The emperor/king I read was depressed about it and tried to commit suicide cuz she wasn't talking to him or sending letters to him or something. The last sentence could be wrong though but it's somewhere along those lines.

Yeah, she does go back to to the tower with her family & learns magic(I don't remember properly). Then she finds out why she found the book, the story & how did it get there. Why things r sometimes different than what she knows. (I can give spoilers if u want)

"While Philomel runs away, she finds her real father, the Mage of Tower and her half-brothers (who were experiments of her father). At first, her real father is suspicious if she is actually his real daughter, but accepts her. And they start to bond as a whole family. On the other hand, the Emperor and her fiancé Nassau goes to look for her. While this happens, Philomel’s mother is in danger of getting executed because Ellencia is trying to get her killed. Why? Because the current Ellencia isn’t the real one.
By this I mean, remember the Author who made her own fanfic to the otome game? Yeah, she transmigrated and took Ellencia’s body and started to plot and kill people to make the story her own. The Author (in Ellencia’s body) tries to kill Philomel’s real mother because Philomel’s real mother starts to get suspicious that Ellencia is acting weirdly. And then one thing leads to another, and we all find out the truth.
They manage to save the real Ellencia and send the Author away. Everything eventually falls back into place. The only problem is that the Emperor wants Philomel to become his adopted daughter. At first, she wanted to but it is revealed that on the night that she heard the Emperor talking about her living like a dead rat and how he knew she was being mistreated and how he knew she heard every bad word said about her — she didn’t want to forgive him.
Even though the Emperor pleads with her, she says no and only agrees to exchange letters with Ellencia and the Emperor. She moves to live with her real family.
For Nassar, their love story is kind of meh. Nassar basically tries to help her, she doesn’t want to accept her feelings for him, but eventually does. And they start their relationship and her real father + brothers + Emperor + Ellencia is all very protective of her especially from Nassar.
The ending is basically just Philomel living with her real family, moving on from the Emperor but also trying to still be on good terms with Emperor + Ellencia. Ellencia is learning how to be a princess. Philomel’s mother being able to be freed and saved from death.
The reason why the MC doesn’t really care about the ML is because the ML showed how much he didn’t really care for the MC when they were kids. This is because the ML was just trying to follow his dad’s orders and be the perfect fiancé for the MC. And the MC never really wanted anything to do with him because she believes that the ML would never fall in love with him because of the OgFL. He does grow up and begin to develop REAL feelings and emotions for the MC.
When they grow up, the MC eventually falls for the ML. However, the novel isn’t really focused on their love story because the story isn’t centered around the MC + ML. It’s more about the MC + family. "
