Gosh, this was a wonderful story. This is a manga interpretation of A Thousand and One Nights, where Scheherazade is the male MC!

I'm not a fan of the "I can fix him trope," but I am a firm believer that troubled, even terrible characters, are not a sign of terrible writing. This was well-done. I loved the continuous inclusion of other romances, all deeply layered, in the form of stories the MC shared. I very much enjoyed this read, it especially kept me on the tips of my toes not knowing whether this work would end as a tragedy. I appreciated all the notes at the end of the chapters which provided extra detail on the mentioned themes. I love historical works so very much, but I also don't appreciate the inaccurate interpretations of Islam! This manga is fictional, it is NOT historically accurate!
One thing I found very interesting was the occasional modern-day stories (or stories which took place far after the current timeline) told by the MC. Potential spoilers so I'll keep it vague: this might have been foreshadowing for the finale.

Very well written story and characters. It has some really beautiful and emotional moments. But could've done without the 2 random modern day stories, it sort of broke the immersion.

i read this book again and i almost cried... again. idk why, but its beautiful. its shounen ai, not many sex scenes which is cool. the bot tells multiple stories bc top wants stories. if bot doesnt tell a story, he dies or smth. the top does end up falling in love w the bot but i cant remember the ending

AHHHH THIS IS SO GREAT OMG but
it's just how they portrayed religion and culture just made me uncomfortable yah cz are they even doing research?I can't really blame them since it's a fiction..
and I want to see more of the two main character and not their side story like gurl the manga is just lots of side story
sehara's story is so sad tho especially the Yusuf one I WAS CRYING
either way ,good story .just not a great research, that's all.

It’s like I’m reading a Chinese novel. Great story. But come to think of it, when I checked the name of the author, this one indeed is from a Chinese novel.

What a long nights... I love the story and the stories within it. It makes my heart flutter as well as break my heart during hard times and conflicts. This was finished at yr 2007?? Gosh I’m still at kindergarten during that time haha. This is a nice story to read night or day.

I wish there was a short chapter on their lives after reuniting :(. Overall, the story gave me a headache because I, who is not good at remembering names, do not recall the names of any of the characters. The fate of the main character's family is really an unfortunate turn of events.

A re-telling of the Arabian tale of the same name.

Very good! I loved how most of the stories told by Sahara (uke) is based on real ancient stories. I get to learn a lot from this manhwa alone! I also loved how the author created these characters with strong beliefs, it’s interesting to see them slowly changing to improve. The Prince has gone through a lot of misery, and I’m touched with how he slowly accepting himself and his past with the guide of Sehara. What interest me the most is the prince’s development from someone who is a tyrant murderer, to someone who is bow their head to apology, from someone who never had a book in his room, to an avid reader who travels across the country to get books (which mostly to bait for sehara lol but still!) i love how he recovered from his past pain and look forward to his future, which is Sehara. He even made a short stories to tell, that alone is a prove he has accepted everything that happened without regrets. That’s why, his character development was very good! And it’s honestly interesting to see how Sehara physically changed through time too! But most of the eldest stays the same unless for their hair lol but overall it’s very worth to sacrifice my sleep to read this! If anything i want to complain is that the reunion of Sehara and Shahzar (idr the seme name is so hard to spell) is so short! I was hoping for more of their after stories, like where did they go? Where did they settled to live? Those kind of tiny things that intrigued me. But sadly it all will be left in my own imagination. But then again, it was good read! Really worth it! I don’t even know why am i only reading this now, but thankfully im still not too late to read this masterpiece.
