This is interesting because there are two possible endings: the original and the perfect edition. This is the original ending. The perfect edition ending has extra pages in the last chapter explaining how Katsuma tied into everything. I read the perfect ending first as I own the physical copy of it and went straight to it after finishing the main series. For some reason the end didn’t feel right for me so I googled what was up and then I found out there’s two endings. Honestly I think I like the original more, it leaves more up to interpretation. Was it katsuma the whole time or did he take over after Fukubei died? The perfect one was fine with the explanation of everything sure but I think it was the part where it said Fukubei actually died in middle school and no one knew. That’s just so random and dumb. Surely if anything he died in the science room or as friend. Why randomly in middle school. Also of all the endings that the author decided needed a complete conclusion it was this series where it made sense without?? What about monster lol

Satisfied because it's so so so good Q-Q I wish it didnt, but there it is... the end.

oh it's the sequel to 20th century boys. since it was a while since I read the main story, I forgot who's the real friend and who the fake one. also, it seems the author incorporated some sci-fi thing that allowed mc and the scammer guy's ghost to travel into the past and meet their younger selves...?

In conclusion. Fukubei was the overarching dick. He was the biggest asshole ever. Done, sure he had a small reason that he didn't fit in that much with Kenji and his friends but damn that kid has some psychological problems. I mean. Alot of the characters did, but fukubei was a psychopath

Urasawa always give the realistic ending which nobody really fully happy forever and ever. it is just not possible in real life.There have to be something changing and unreversible about life. Maybe some will found the end a bit unsatisfying because the journey are far too grand and it will be hard no matter what to end it. I think this is a great example of making the ending as the story progress lol. The best ending in a story always produced when the whole story gravitated toward the ending which is produced first before the story itself is written. Or open ending. Open ending is always great, but I am glad this one isnt ended with open ending, is will be just not right. Monster ending is great tho

A sequel to an absolute classic that is, again, absolutely a classic.

An incredibly satisfying ending to one of the most heralded reads of my generation. Noaki Urasawa really does live up the hype people throw at him.
