Currently I'm reading Pluto, and it is so good that I'm sure it'll make me feel lonely once I finish it. So, I'm preparing myself beforehand with another masterpiece to get my mind off this one and move in to something equally good! So, please recommend some of your fav mystery mangas!! :)

I've started it but not finished yet. I'm so amazed by Naoki's works that I plan to read all of them! So, once I'm done with with Pluto I'll come back to Monster again :)

Reading the comments I find that my opinion of Hitoshi being the favorite character is highly unpopular. I like that she is mature and most responsible of all. Unlike the other characters she was fully aware of her insecurities, but does not blabber about that all the time and sticks to her agenda. It feels as if to view a mature adult in the body of a teenager. And maybe this is unpopular again, but I found it extremely calming when Milo sensei hugged her in the love hotel and said that it was he who did not have the courage. That was the most touching statement in this story.
She is clear minded unlike the others, especially Izumi who I find it extremely un sensitive to say that he likes Kazusa as a person but likes Sugawarashi sexually and that too when both of them are present together. That in turn makes makes Kazusa both foolish and pathetic to accept that in a second and give him a chance. If I were in this situation of any of the two girls I would have left him as I think it's impossible to sustain relationships without one of the two aspects- sexual relations and feelings, unless you have that unbreakable bond of trust, which I don't think Izumi could be trusted with.
Whereas I absolutely adore Milo sensei and Hitoshi's relationship as I find that trust and bond between them. You might say that it was one sided but you can't ignore the fact that yamagishi was never irritated by her actions and easily followed her around. No doubt there was something between them! Just that he couldn't admit his feelings because she was his student. He even said that he's a "coward". I'm guessing this is what he meant by it. Its sad to say, but I'm pretty sure that if the teacher was a woman and the student was a male they would have given Hitoshi's character a proper conclusion instead of keeping us hanging with our own ends forever.
Well, sorry for boring you with the hour long essay. But if you've read this far I'd like you to answer who do you think Milo sensei ended up with?? or what did he mean when he called himself a "coward"??

I also adore hitoshi and am most interested by her interactions and relationship w the teacher, but sadly I think that he never looked at her that way as in the end he marries her. I was rooting for her too and when I saw the subtle hint of his and tomoshita’s (the coworker he has a crush o w the glasses) wedding I was disappointed. But also I guess it’s good he isn’t a pedo? I think that he only entertained her because he knew how important this time was for her, growing out of girlhood and learning more about womanhood, and is kind. In the end, heartbreakingly, it was all one sided :(
ofc the relationship gives pedo vibes! So in my head I always considered milo sensei s a young teacher of age 23-25 and hitoshi of 17, just to avoid the pedo angle yk XD. I wanted sensei to wait for her to get graduated and then date her, so that would have made a 6-7 years age gap. That's quite big of a gap but, after reading a lot on here it would not have shocked me as age gaps often seem to work in mangas. Also, it was my favourite ship so I tried to unsee all the possibilities that could hinder the relationship.
But, sadly despite of all my imagination they did'nt end up together. TT
