Also oh my god, Sleeping beauty THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS YOU DIDN'T LIVE OUT YOUR FAIRYTALE BECAUSE: - Sleeping Beauty was raped when she was asleep by a King or Prince (I forgor) who passed by her sleeping body - On the second visit around over half a year later the king found sleeping beauty (while still asleep) had given birth to children (twins?) who were breastfeeding themselves from her. I don't remember how she woke up in the original but when she did she married the same King (WHO, DID I MENTION WAS ALREADY MARRIED) and lived with the kids she gave birth to when she was asleep :3
Update ch 4. This feels like a story that's trying to accomplish something similar to Mushishi and Kino's journey--several individual stories connected by a single character. The problem for me is... the connecting character isnt compelling? The younger Grimm brother is annoying? He's your typical well-intentioned but clumsy shonen character who's trying to follow his brothers footsteps but kinda sucks at the job in a way that's frustrating?
I feel like... this is TRYING to say something, but all the chapters are so short it cant do much more than "what if Cinderella's prince was actually a psycho foot fetish guy (Yoshikage Kira wore it better)" and "What if the evil witch from rapunzel actually regretted it." And it just feels like it says that... and then leaves. We're not really exploring these concepts. And then thered the problem of the Grimm brothers thing.
Idk. I feel like the story is trying to do too much at once and already has a large cast of characters splitting up our time. So we just.. cant explore anything in depth.
A little disappointed so far because the premise made me think there'd be more to it.
