last one is very sad

The last story isn't shounen-ai and also, a little too weird to understand. I thought the ones before it were ok. But like most one-shots, not great and pretty forgettable.

A collection of shorts with wildly varying tones and themes, which might explain the low rating (there is no way all these stories would appeal to everyone). That being said, I actually think this collection is, on the whole, worth reading. Summarized and rated individually below so you can decide to pick it up or not:

1) A visibly shaken man covered in blood in someone else's apartment is startled when a man appears at the door to the apartment, demanding that the apartment's owner pay him back. I won't say much more since I actually think the gradual (though sometimes unsurprising reveals) are best experienced fresh. This one is by turns dark, funny, and crushingly sad. I don't think I've read anything else like it in a BL manga. 5/5

2) The story of a professor who is shacked up with one of his students in what appears to be a mutually abusive relationship. An exploration of a messy dynamic which may not appeal to those who want pure romance stories, but I thought it was quite good (clumsy inclusion of a random stalker notwithstanding). 4/5

3) An unassuming salaryman living in Tokyo hails from a small village where everyone has superpowers. His aim in moving to Tokyo is to become a secret crimefighter, something hampered by his less than stellar powers. When one of his friends from the village comes to visit him in Tokyo, demanding that he return to the village, sparks fly between the two. This was a pleasant but decidedly tepid story, much more along standard BL lines. Additionally the superpowers thing seemed completely unnecessary. Unfortunately, this is the longest of the bunch. 2/5

4) Not BL, but a sweet romance between a high school girl who believes she talks to aliens and a boy who humors her to remain close. It's a really nice story and makes good use of its eccentric character. 4/5

The stories are not bad but they're choppy

It starts with a murder and I thought, "Okay, this is gonna be dark and deep." Then, I don't know what the second story was because I was so damn confused reading it. They throw in a yaoi that has THE MOST RIDICULOUS hero subplot ever to be put to paper and I finally threw in the towel when they dumped a shoujo with FUCKING ALIENS in my lap. ALIENS for shit's sake! Really?! WTF is this horrid pile of vomitous garbage? The writing flow was choppy and difficult to comprehend at best and an utterly dull waste of time at worst. I can't tell you about the characters because they were profoundly forgettable. I only remember the "hero" yaoi story and even that was barely comprehensible due to the fact that ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about why the protagonist was a hero, who the villains were, why the protagonist chose to fight as a hero, NOTHING! Nothing was made clear. I feel like I was asked to do a book report on a book I'd only seen the cover of! Wait, I just remembered the second story! The creepy psycho chick! Who was she? What happened to her? Every story was like looking at the aftermath of an abortion. Incredibly messy and you have no idea what is what. The cherry on this shit cake was that even the art was only passable. Had the art been phenomenal, I could have at least said something good about this manga. As it stands, there is nothing positive for me to say.

The last story....i guess kana was really taken by the aliens. In the end the sky on her house was green, i think it is the proof that aliens really came. Before Kana went, she was hesitating and worrying about that shouta won't be fine if she disappears, so she left the "kana" to accompany shouta, and the "real kana"(maybe her spirit or something like soul?) had gone with the aliens already........
The "kana" on the grass with shouta said "didn't kana put kana here?" it's wierd, although kana always call herself "kana" but "I", it still sounds like it's someone else talks about kana, but not kana talks about herself......
Maybe that's why shouta said he has to be an astronaut to see her........?
haha....whatever......actually i am confused, too......
