This is a manga that not everyone can appreciate: it's a deep story with dark ambience; it could be difficult to follow the timeline, as there is a non-linear storytelling. It's philosophical, there are many reflections and notions; it's so brainstorming. The art is also particular, maybe not everybody will like it. In fact, I read some negative comments about this, but I think this art style is in perfect sync with the atmosphere of the story. So, even if some may think the art is bad, I think it's still worth giving it a try. Maybe not everybody will understand it (maybe they will not even try to), but it's a meaningful story that, in its own twisted way, it's unique.

➤ I'm quite curious about the sequels, I'd like to read them, but for now they're not available...

It's kinky, depraved and dirty & the rough drawing amplifies that. Hot especially the Toilet Boy scene.
It's philosophical alright? It's a deep & unique masterpiece but not everyone can appreciate nor understand. And with an unconventional art style too. Enough with the bashing leave it if it's not for you.
warning: het sex in the beginning.

This is a unique masterpiece! It is very dark, trashy, seriously twisted, deliciously subversive but dead serious...maybe too serious for many readers, as this is a highly philosophical and psychological endeavour, with a lot of text to read and long dialogues and monologues, that takes the reader into the lives and thought-processes of deeply-flawed characters. There is NO happy end, except maybe for Fukuzawa and Haniya...

What the fuck, man ngl I don't understand but I kinda understand the story? Anyway I feel tired reading this and MY EYES JEEZ hurts from all of that micro text . From what I understand that the glasses boy need a therapy and his childhood friend literally just became his idk savior? And that senpai need a fucking big slap, twice.

Incredibly dark with many broken, insecure characters - plot is non-linear and artstyle is sketchy but quite unique

Ethics, psychoanalysis, economics. ALl mixed here. Gosh, this was so much for my brain to take although I see myself in most of the words here. The way I see life is lile Fukuzawa. I just think the eel festival was unnecessary and I find it funny. I feel like this manga is for those who sees the world differently than the regular ones. Their lives are not sad, rather, it’s just empty.

Huh. That was a very strange, very convoluted manga. There were things I actually liked about it, despite all of the weirdness inserted here and there. I think the ending confused some people because it's so abrupt, then it's followed by a bunch of "afterwards" type stuff. The story ends with both of the original couple realizing they were both in love, and the asshole one deciding to leave everything behind. It also means the new couple stays together. Everything after that is snippets of things in the past, or personal introspection.

I actually kind of love "second love" stories with all the heartbreak that comes from the loss of a first love, then the healing that comes after with a person who actually treats you right. This is such a weird story, and it's all over the place, so I can't say that it was as satisfying as it could be, but I did appreciate seeing those themes. They're rare in yaoi. Most of the time the unhealthy relationship wins in a love triangle. The art was strange and the visuals were seriously disgusting at times, but I don't know, I think this was worth the read. I can see why a lot of people wouldn't like it, but I give it a solid B. I hope someone translates the sequel, though I worry about what might be revealed then, given how damaged everyone is in this one.

I dont think i've ever read a story more hard to follow
this was pure hell but i felt like i had to finish??
it feels like the artist tried to something but failed in making the story for actual people lmao, like i understood like 80-90% but it was just... weak? trying so hard to make this all deep and philosophical when it wasnt just made this fail altogether
I took the time to read it in original, which was more understandable but it honestly was still a pretty weak piece for what i feel the artist was trying it to be.
it just feels like a mishmash of various philosophical texts, imo all this fake deep shit takes away from the story, since honestly? its not that deep plain and simple
reads as v cringe to be honest

Hmm.. It was an enjoyment reading something that requires thinking. Though sometimes it felt like straight from educational book/ without enough relation to the story. Also maybe it was just me but my train of thoughts went of trails and crushed more than once because i could not grasp the chronological order of things.. even if it was intentionally so and irrelevant it still bugged me.
I liked this manga but it was far from perfect

It’s completely unhinged but I really enjoyed reading it. Not the best translation in the world
