Kan-chan stfu stop making me cry. The burden and financial stress, power harassment from his superiors (sexually aswell) all bottled up inside Kan-chan's heart and when it eventually exploded, he became someone totally different. The only way to release his stress was to abuse Yumi, and Yumi who was in love and conflicted with his feelings for Mayama kept up with the abuse. Eventually Kan-chan realised how he can never go back to how he used to be and let go of Yumi before he could ruin his life. Kan-chan and Yumi will never be able to go back to how they used to be but everything in life happens for a reason.

as i havent read the rest this seems like a simple story of hardship but i’m guessing if u read this after the others, it works as a setup to whaat would be their right paths

I love that they're both happy together in their respective stories and with their partners but this background story just breaks my heart. I can't even hate the seme nor the uke. But .y heart just broke when the uke said he quit his job. I could feel the frustration he had at that moment. I also felt sorry for the uke who just literally had no idea. I wish they communicated. I wish they could have pulled through. But they didn't. They couldn't. And they moved on. I just wish they saw each other again. Especially for the seme to know that yeah, he's happy as well.

Reading this prequel hurt my heart (;´༎ٹ༎`) I appreciate seeing where Yumi and Kan-Chan came from and how their relationship took the turn it did. It doesn't excuse Kan-chan’s behavior but it does explain how he came to change so drastically. I love this author so much, they tell stories so well.

When I read “Sabita Yoru Demo Koi Wa Sasayaku”
I really wondered what happened to Kan-chan when he seemed so sweet when they were in high school. That shitty company! That shitty boss! That shitty co-worker!
Ah but Kan-chan, I get the amount of pressure you had to endure was hard but communication is key.
I kinda didn’t like how Yumi still had that old phone like maybe Kan-chan had the intuition that Yumi also love someone else that’s why he felt like he couldn’t rely on Yumi
Still violence is NO EXCUSE!
ah I’m going in circles. It really hard reading back stories cause you start to sympathize with abusers and you start feeling like its justified then you realize its not and you just feel sad
I sincerely hope for a redemption arc for Kan-chan and maybe happiness too.

i really feel bad for kanchan, he doesn't deserve this all he wanted was to help his family, i don't excuse him for abusing yumi tho. But ig he will have his own happiness too
