27 I would like the main character much more if they explained why she whipped him in the past. It’s so hard to like or sympathize with her. But for future me, she was just shot and kidnapped and the ML and the daughter ar bonding. Author made a vague hint that she may be his daughter
Idr understand why mc is treating ml so badly. Even worse than a regular human. Plus w the worst translations. I cant even get engrossed in the story when the questions keep piling up. But most of all, i'd rlly like to know y mc does that to ml when clearly she still likes him and w how the current things r going, i dont rlly see a future where mc is gon live happily ever after. Now i understand y the socmed kept telling me abt this story being toxic. Its all plain torture to read this wo understanding any backstory
Ch 25. No longer a fan of the male lead…I can’t believe he just said that to a child… trash behavior. Like I get he doesn’t need to be nice or like her BUT to just say that no one loves her (Cherry) and she should just go to an orphanage is crossing the line.
I am not sure if I like this story or not. FL is a cruel arrogant bitch swinging her fists around and treating people who trusts her like a trash (well, this is exactly how she treated ML, but she seems caring for other people close to her). ML is trying to get his revenge on her by taking her down and making her loose her wealth, connections and place in society.
Good thing is that so far (I am at the ch.25) ML treats her really gentle and goes easy on her despite having the upper hand - he doesn't cross the line that can make it abuse instead of romance story. On the other hand, FL is just a hardly likeable character for a love story. I know she had a hard time and I can somehow relate to her when she does her best to keep a strong intimidating image to protect her authority, but still this is not a reason for a bloody beating and abandoning your loyal lover. I think ML deserves someone better. She may be attractive for her persistent arrogance despite being fragile and lonely. But she doesn't deserve his trust and support again. It would be better if ML and FL were paired up with other love intrests in this story instead of each other.
Also I don't really enjoy the plot where a prideful woman is having her pride trampled on and dumped in the mud. Not by someone who suffered from her wrongdoings, but by a bunch of petty scoundrels.
