This was one of the earliest mangas I have ever read to complete and even remember as a child. The reread rate is extremely high, I cannot even count how many times I have reread this masterpiece. Though it's hetero, this an OG manga fr!!!

at first I thought it would be not that good, bcs of the art style but suddenly I didn't expect it to be realllllllllly awesome (人*´∀｀)｡*ﾟ+

I can't believe I cried in between 2am or 3am when reading this. Dunno with cliffhangers or sidestories, but what happened after surgery? Is his will considered to be the happily ever after?

Takuya and Mayu, best friends since forever, love each other. Only dark side is Takuya has a heart condition and both know he will probably not live past his 20s. Takuya is conflicted between his deep love and thinking about pushing Mayu in another man's arms such as to protect her from the pain of loosing him if he might die. A strong love story high in emotions. English title : "Secret Unrequited Love" doesn't fit this story.

omg i read this wayyy back in like yr 6 adn i couldnt take reading a story when i was sus the end was sad so i think i read quite a bit then skiped to read the end chap and fuckkk it was si sad fucked my immature brain up real bad like seriously will read again someday but this sotry was so nostaligic, legit the epitome of what cringe shoujo cliche stuff stories i was obsessed w reading when i fisrt got into manga

like it was a happy ending but then somewhere saying how it might be a dream or whatnot idek it rlly fucked up me my kid brain that coulnt learn to just move on like i had hella attchemnt issues to stuff lolol, so i was rlly mad and still am that i coulnt see their process of having kids ykow, it was so abrupt ut still overall i think if i remmeebr it was good storytelling
