I think there was just a little too much cray-cray in that story for me. It was so twisted that when the younger brother asked himself why he didn't just sleep with his brother, my thought was hell, why didn't you, probably would have saved a ton of time, energy and crazyness.
I've seen a lot in the yaoi-verse, and stupid plotlines cease to surprise me nowadays. HOWEVER, this one was just one gigantic pain in the ass.

The protagonist, Yanagi, rapes his main love interest in the first chapter and then proceeds to blackmail him to having sex with him. Typical yaoi trope, right? Following the usual stuff, the dalliance soon becomes something more as the two of them begin to develop feelings for each other. However, now the uke's twin brother comes into play with his bizarre borderline incestuous possessive and plots to ruin them.
Not to mention, the mindblowingly convenient timing of Yanagi's ex and first-love, Naoto (?), being introduced by the author as a poor attempt to 'thicken the plot'.
Yesh, whenever I can sense the plot going a bit too cray-cray for my liking, I tend to pull out. However, I chose to continue reading to understand why it has such a good rating. I unfortunately have continued to remain perplexed.
This manga's title Breath didn't let me breath not even a single time melodramatic it got stupid uke getting inlove with playboy seme who has love issues due to first love with a man who even gang raped him and then uke's crazy twin brother who is obsessed with uke almost killed three of people and scratch everyone he should be in jail for that even though he got a doctor seme as a partner even if injure himself doc seme can treat him instantly but i probably didn't expect this much trauma and obsession to die easily after getting together but either way it's old manga i didn't expect much i found it through cruel seme tag i don't find seme cruel at all seme's ex was cruel and fucked up man probably not my frvt but it's good one.
I am really glad this didn't to an incest └(^o^)┘ I actually blame the parents for letting Arata kun have an inferiority complex... Raising kids is one of the hardest tasks, it requires the parent to be philosophical, analyzing each move their kids make, caring and being strict at the same time... But nope, Ten sadism got him to be overprotective and blind.. Even if one's character is extreem parents should teach their children where are their boundaries.. So i blame the parents
Yanagi rapes the fall-down drunk Arata. Wants to prove to the horrified Arata that he really DID want it. Rapes him again. Arata's twin brother gets involved. Everyone is horrible.
overall: i dont like it at all there was not a single character that i liked jesus fuck everyone in this story except maybe (and ever so slightly) the uke and the doctor who likes ten
When hanging out in a gay bar, Koushi Yanagi a university student, meets a very sexy office worker, whom after getting drunk accepts his advances. But when the office worker becomes sober, suddenly he loses his nerve, starts acting violently and runs away. Koushi disgusted and angry accepts an invitation from Takashi Kirishima, aka Ten, his sex friend. At Ten's house Koushi meets the office worker again. He is Ten's twin brother, Arata Kirishima, a researcher in a laboratory. Later Koushi visits Arata's room when Arata is home alone. Arata denies the incident and tries to give money to Koushi asking him to leave, but Koushi offended, goes wild with anger and rapes Arata. Arata asks Koushi to keep what happened from his brother but it makes Koushi angry all the more. Blackmailing Arata with the promise of telling Ten everything, Koushi makes Arata his sexual slave, but gradually they become attracted to each other.
Fuck Ten, you ruined your own twin big bro!! But tbh I'm glad you chose to leave him and goes to someone else :V I pity both Arata and Yanagi, they deserve happiness but I'm satisfied with the ending, thanks mangaka-san
I genuinely enjoyed this. I'm a little mad that the whole thing started bc he slept with someone who was clearly drunk but the story besides that was really good, so bc its just a story im gunna let it go. 2.5 stars
