I didn't drop it because it was particularly bad or anything; the art was gorgeous and incredibly unique. I don't know if it was proper water paint or if it was a digital technique, but regardless, it was amazing to look at. The art was genuine art in-of-itself. And for what it's worth, I did like the main two characters, the catboy and the tired adult. It was cute to see the catboy still be more cat than boy despite being mainly human in appearance.
But, for me, it just didn't hook me. I finished chapter 15, realized I don't really care what happens next, and decided to put the book down. I didn't particularly like the dual timeline, and there were just too many main characters thrown in at once. I think there were like 5?
There will be people who like this, and I don't fault them for that. This isn't a thing where it's like a proper critique, this just simply isn't to my personal taste. So for that, I'll leave it unrated.
I read a few chaps then decided to read the comments and I am glad I did. Thank you to whoever wrote the summary of this story, I don't think I'll waste my time reading a story where one guy only has feelings for the other because he thinks it's his dead lover and even up until the last page he still only thought of the dead guy. Pass, seems like a waste of time.
ok i didnt understand how cat became fully human at all i rlly thought it died i was balling my eyes out. i also don’t understand most stuff LOL like the ending ? its weird … why did ran become so close with the kidnapper guy ? im so lost but regardless its rlly nice
Kinda confusing but someone in the comments explained as best as they can. Its sweet and angsty. They dont really end up together but theres a love there from the older guy to ran the cat that truly wants him to be happy and away from the hardships of reality when dealing with same sex relationships so thats probably why he’s kinda keeping ran at arms length
