Comments of Fushigi No Kuni No Bird

LOL to all those who think there should be romance between Itou and Miss Bird. He is 19 to her 45. At one point of novel he feels uncomfortable at coming of age of 13 year old who is nearer to his age.
The manga is interesting as MC is one of those who bucked the tradition. She is painted cutesy but little snippets from her actual letters at the end shows a much different truth. Being an Indian and aware of its history this manga sort of makes me super mad at all these English men traipsing around (looting like that shitty botanist). I am tired of the whole holier than thou attitude.

Okay so I heard this is based on a true story but they only used the actual people?? The story is not accurate to the real life story I think?

Wow, I have never seen a comic draw the full sign of the cross. It looks kinda cool that way.
