Really cute art style but something about the dialogue was confusing. I had no idea what was really happening, if anything, for half of this first chapter. All I knew was that Misaki was offended by the new transfer student because he called him short and something to do with his name. Then you find out stuff about the transfer student that made this much more interesting. ETA: I read through this a second time and understood it a bit better.

Uke is mad with seme, a kouhai because he called him short. He challenged seme to stop him looking down at him but failed miserably. Apparently seme is a childhood friend who was called Chi-chan, whom uke thought was a girl. Uke finally found seme's weakness.

The flow is a bit confusing BUT HELL I LOVE DAN-CHAN. This is funny plus cute artwork!
Synopsis: At first he was annoyed AF with this arrogant freshman who seemed to have everything. For some reasons kohai seems to dislike him and does not recognize him as a senior. Incensed, he competed and looked for a weakness. And found one. And it's the opposite. It seems the younger man actually like him?! Time to tease the guy. However, he learned through his sisters that his first love, Chii-chan (a girl, or so he thinks) and this guy he is annoyed with is one and the same. Now, it's his turn to have confused emotions. #seme younger by two years. #hate to love. #senpai x kohai. At the last chapter, the two had a heart to heart talk about their feelings and even if it's not blatantly announced, judging from the extra they agreed to date.
@chap. 5 extra: A little time jump where the seniors (including uke) have now graduated and set for college. The pair are lovey-dovey but are still bickering as always.
BTW I love dan-chan and his "revolutionary way of apologizing" ROFLMAO. I also love Hakase and his pointless but genius rambling. #squad goals!
Just a peeve: The art is pretty, ofc but I'm bothered with the lack of animated faces to go with the lively convos. It's especially noticeable when the face speaking is calm and the mouth is not even opened. Sets me off, ugh.

The premise is kinda cliche but I like the curly haired side character and Dan-chan haha. Not sure if it's just the translations but the story flow is all over the place, I was very confused but it's still cute I guess, idk dude lol

Dan-chan, Yui, and Sae are MVPs. Hakase is also one but he helps Misaki in a different way haha I love how they all will do what Misaki asks such good friends and family ^^

Light read. Cliche but art was nice,the friend character is far more interesting than the mc ngl imo.
The 'im used to be so cool in grade school and theres this girl i like, oh wait! Its not a girl! ' type of story

I am glad it wasn’t just me who had trouble making sense of this story. Idk if it was the translation or the story itself but this story was disjointed and often just like reading random English words put together. Idk why the seme bothered following the uke to this school, he seemed to have zero care or respect for him. If he lost that respect simply because the uke was short and a bit of an airhead at times then he stinks for not finding that adorable. Idk why the uke suddenly liked the seme...that made no sense as there was no connection. Wth was the thing about red boots? It randomly popped up a few times for no reason.. The uke is about to graduate? There was no talk of a future between the boys.. Trust me, so many other things made no sense. I can’t be bothered doing a re read to find the answers, maybe this is better on a second read? I am gonna pass. The art was cute but I can look at nice art with a coherent story and have a much better experience than trying this again. Apologies to the mangaka, I know these works mean a lot of time and effort. I wish I did like it more, the concept sounded interesting.

The reunion between a once-cool guy who is now one of the shortest boys in the grade, with average grades and so-so sports skills, and the feminine-looking crybaby who used to hide behind him all the time and is now smart, handsome and popular.

i wanna like it more but i feel like they never resolve their issues. and masi-chan is stuck in that "well we're both guys" mindset

We love when its a sweet short story with NO RAPE and a decent story line. Really good, nice art, moved a somehow perfect pace. It was like a candy melting on your tongue. 5/5 would recommend
