Sigh. Where do I even begin with this one. I read this for the first time years back, it was one of my starter yaois and lemme just say, not the best start! It starts off absolutely horrendously and while the seme has a very good redemption arc, he just, does so much shit....like I cannot fully see this man in a good light cause all I ever see in him is the awful teenager he was and how much he used the uke only for them to have a plot where the uke finally snaps at him and somehow, the uke comes running back to HIM. It's extremely infuriating and if I gotta skip several chapters to get to where the semes not raping him, it's not a very good story. I tried to come back years later to see if reading the earlier chapters could help me see it in a different light but the early volumes version of the seme makes me sick.

One of the few popular yaois from the early 2000's that actually redeem themselves. I find Nemu kind of boring but i still like that he has an inklin of a personality other than 'super submissive innocent boy who loves their abuser' or 'just really hate the seme and i'm going to freak out and scream all the time but still fuck because that makes the dynamic so cute and spicy and not annoying at all'. We started off rocky but i really like how the characters take a spin and the plot moves onto something better, nothing crazy but also not bland or unrealistically dramatic

Yet another normalized sexual assault in YAOI. The foundation of a whole ass relationship is RAPE. Those plots are seriously alarming in the scene, and unnecessary. The MC is this traumatized person who goes along with the abuser's wishes, reminds me of Stockholm syndrome.

Hmm, I've read this manga many times before but I never read it this far. Idk, maybe It was ongoing or whatever but this time I read till volume 11 and the author improved quite a lot with the plotline. I mean from force sex to the way they are now, I wouldn't have thought that maya would change this much. This manga raised a lot of topics regarding situations of being in a long term relationship and I really liked how most of it was solved. Maya never wanted nemugasa to feel insecure and nemugasa became more attentive and open little by little so yeah the progress was nice to see

Maybe it's because I'm 20, maybe it's because I'm not 15 years old anymore, but the way how this relationship started bothered me to hell and back. The fact that Nemu just took the harassment (then rape) that Maya was forcing on him just angered me so much. Only the last 7 pages made me happy. But throughout the book I was very disgusted.

This story starts from "crass sex joke book" and turns into "sensitive romance novel", without losing its flow or characters!
Its like watching someone aggressively splash color paints on a canvas then turn it into a realistic beautiful painting.
