Overall, this felt like a read that tried to tick off many of the yaoi manhwa checks (so a bit of a cliche), but it had some freshness to it and the plot twist about the ML was nice. The age gap with the MC being 20 is pretty sus, but when you switch off your brain and just read it for the bit of plot and the overall good, at times even fine smut, it's an okay read. Nothing special, but it gets the job done.
Y'all, I need a slow burn BL full of desire and intensity. I hate when they get at it from chapter 1 or even in the first 10 chapters.
Something with tension and intensity building up over time and as the relationship progresses, I don't want them to just decide they wanna fuck and then go together like that.
Can be toxic (no rape/non con tho), can be a enemies to lovers or even enemies to enemies who fuck trope, or no trope at all, as long as there is desire, infatuation , eroticism and a good plot. Thanks in advance! (づ￣ ³￣)づ

this happens to me a lot especially after i force myself to get thru mid yaoi but “checkmate” (by tan) got me out of a particularly bad one

This was so meh. It's 2026, I want to see an interesting spin to omegaverse or at least, proper mpreg and shit. Nothing about this felt fleshed out or interesting. Short stories can still be good and feel complete. This was so lukewarm. I know we have actual rapeslop with shit plots, characters and overused tropes that are rated way too high, but this story here isn't anything special worth the 9.4 either tbh. It's rushed, basic af, even the art style or smut isn't particularly juicy. I don't care much about their relationship because we didn't see any substance to it.
The one additional star I'm giving this is just for the crybaby top because I'm a sucker for crybaby tops.
