On one hand, I like how this manga shows the actual (body) horror of the omegaverse - you have an omega who's in constant pain and struggle after being marked and abandoned; it's pure agony as he can't relieve himself with any other alpha, and at the same time, can't attract any cause he has no detectable pheromones. On the other hand, you have the psychopathic family with weird alphas making his already debilitating condition worse, and even an alpha brother who attacked the MC in the past (this omegaverse is particularly brutal cause pheromones within family apparently also attract...). Now, the fact the pregnancy somehow saved the MC despite it being a very rare occurrence given he was impregnated by a beta is a bit... Dunno. I mean, technically, even irl, pregnancies can balance out shit and change hormones for the better. So yeah, I can see it. It's a nice savior story. BUT WHY SKIP THE PREGNANCY ENTIRELY FFS?! I'm not a huge beta × omega fan, but this story wasn't so bad and the fact the pregnancy wasn't shown makes it go from not so bad to meh.

Five chapters in, the way the (sexual) violence of men and the patriarchal hammer that crushes anything deemed feminine and innocent is portrayed, is too accurate, painfully so. The commodification and exploitation of a body deemed 'innocent' that can be 'corrupted' and the way abusers enjoy the fact the MC seems like he can be 'ruined' (while also being a walking dichotomy of virgin, child like innocence, and a 'whore' - Madonna/whore in one) reminds me of the pedophilic patriarchal standards for (sexual) dominance and masculine performance and pleasure. The MC being beautiful and effeminate means he falls in the same category as a woman or a child - to be exploited, controlled, and dominated, his body doesn't belong to him anymore, and it's gazed upon, shamed, and yet consumed.
I also get reminded of Epstein and how he had a particular preference for 'innocent' looking girls whom he wanted to 'corrupt'. I just know this story will be very deep, claws in your skin deep.

Yeah, right, fucking the kid you brought up since age 6 and waiting for him to turn 18 (at least props for the beast trying to delay his heat, but all for the wrong reasons) and get his first heat is very normal... The dog must be over 30. I truly don't understand this obsession with guardian × kid pairings in BL (I understand the appeal of it being taboo, but at some point, it's very weird). In older stories, and even in new ones - same shit with You Are So Lovely and many, many more. It's not that hard to make the omega 20+ years old and still have the same plot with him being traded off and put in there to mate with the beasts, etc.
This type of plot could be used to show the abusive dynamics of what is basically child prostitution and using people as nothing but incubators (to a very small extent, it shows the consequences of that lack of agency and bodily autonomy as the MC feels the burden of having no choice but to be used by other alphas despite him wanting to stay with the ML alone for example), but it's presented as a cute soul bond love story between a freshly 18 sold off omega and a much more mature alpha wolf. It just doesn't land the way it should for me. It's not romantic or cute imo, it's horror and it's creepy.
Also, very weird for the beasts to not be able to produce the most offspring with other beasts. You'd think they're morphologically just more compatible lol. A very weird lore here.
