In the middle ML became a tipical tyrannic fucking trash .....why treath you're prime minister as a woman and make him a consort?! You just ruined his lifetime effort and work and you wanna him be happy with it?!
Okay this wasn't bad....but I feel like it was 3 different stories rolled into one.
The start had the emperor flirting with the prime minister that didn't want to elope with him back in the day. During this we get a bit of the other country. THEN the emperor does a 180 and imprison the minister...after they are in awecome terms with each other and clearly mutual love. I understand why the emperor got angry at the minister for lying and breaking the law to defend the friend -especially when everyone in the room knew it was all lies. It's the tyrannical emperor making his beloved captive that makes no sense with their estabilished character.
After that we get the...sages arc? that makes no sense ?!? the sages are there for no reason? just to have the emperor get beated by the minister's teacher and let the minister there while the emperor goes to war.
The war, which was the big focus at the start, is resolved in...3 chapters? And everyone is back to their arc 1 characterization.
