The kid doesn't really act like a kid atall, I don't know but the art feels like is getting worse with each chapter, what is even more weird is that the duke sees the girl act sus but doesn't question it, like dude what logic? Like you literally saw her putting a piece of jewelry out of her pocket and into the bastard's pocket but no he is like blah blah
I don't know it felt brianless move

Pretty typical of the genre but I enjoy that. She is a little more scheming than the typical MC in these which is awesome (typically they're smart and make good business decisions where she is actively manipulating the people around her to make them make good business decisions (or at one's that will benefit her). Worldbuilding fine, plot fine, characters great, tension great. Interested in seeing where this goes. Trigger warning; child abuse, slavery (both in backstory and shown in initial chapters), child marriage (being set up between 2 kids, currently non sexual but likely will change when older). Ch 48

Ch45 marks end of season 1.
