well, this opinion of mine might sound controversial, BUT hear me out. I think, this is, bromance. I've finished reading, I've observe these characters personality, WHO they care about, WHAT they said to the other characters, and their profess of 'love'. There's none, no profess of love. If i have to be blunt, Ren, no even once prioritize to save Kiran, the only time that he went to save Kiran is at the end. There is no 'ba-bump', just blushing when they get close. Kiran always does save Ren though. so like, might be one sided or just bromance, no actual shounen-ai here unless they kiss, or said their feeling to each other. These other side characters actually a distraction, but the plot is still good, that is if its just a normal shoujo fantasy manga this would be a great manga. There is not enough characters development on Ren and Kiran, shocking I know. this is all because of all these other side characters. So yeah. That is, my opinion.

Edit- okay I thought I'm the only one thought this is not a BL, I saw some other comments also mentioning it. Glad I'm not alone here.

not for me. like sigh so first of all i dont see no "love" between the main couple and idc what anyone says bro the seme deserved it i mean he was king sir u had responsibilities and most of the characters were annoying too and all of em were just using ren especially his sister (i swear she's a bitch and so toxic), honestly shouldve let the seme die with that vampire girl, man's already lived 500 yrs after getting the kingdom destroyed and stuff let him go in peace with his mistake of a love and selfishness. and somehow i think even if there was no misunderstanding abt the moon mark he wouldve used ren just like he was with his sister................sigh now i feel better after ranting i had a lot to say.........anyways this was just my opinion im sure some ppl must have liked too so ig depends

If anything, it's tragic. The plot is promising and although complicated, it managed to become comprehensive even if I'm personally unsatisfied in the end.

Not the typical shonen ai, the main character was mostly drawn as a girl and the male lead seems so aloof that I don't feel pity nor interest in him. I'm actually surprised it has a happy ending, in my opinion it would be better if the male lead just died with his ex lover.
