Guys in HS. Mc's family has some kind of arrangement with ml's family since generations ago that ml's family would serve mc's family. so mc basically has the coolest sexiest manliest man at school as his retainer. everyone wants to do stuff with ml but he always refuses because he servers mc, and this leads most kids to resent mc so he has no friends. mc worries about his relationship with ml, thinking he's only with him because of the retainership, and he's been so isolated over the years he frets about normal social interaction without ml's help. meanwhile ml tries to isolate mc more and more so no one can get close to mc so that mc can be all his. this is a fine story, it's pretty well put together, and uncensored so that's nice. they never really come back around to mc's social anxiety and trying to reach out to have friends, but i guess it's fine. some 3rd guy was just thrown in there later to force the two leads apart and to cause a state change in their relationship, and the guy seemed interest in ml but in kind of a wishy washy way. i couldn't tell if hated mc, resented mc, or envied mc. he kinda ends up helping mc then disappearing. also ml has a brother that kind of helps, but his role in the story is also a little ambiguous. i think the use of these two characters could be tightened up and clarified to make a better story. it would probably need another volume though. anyway, despite these flaws it was a an entertaining read. some people will be irked by the mc being kind of a dormat but he's specifically designed that way here because of the circumstances, so i think folks should try to accept it better here than in random comics where the mc isn't intentionally socially isolated.
