This story I rated 2/5 because it's boring, no tension, few things make sense, and it wastes WAY too many chapters on smut. (and the art is sus). My recommendation is to skip this one; I couldn't make it past chapter 48 (end of season 2).

The main character is a stereotype of shoujo heroines of yesteryear. He is bad at everything, passably cute, innocent, and theoretically pure of heart... even though he knows dragonboy is stealing stuff using dimension door trick, he still willingly accepts the things dragonboy steals and reaps the benefit of this theft. Mc's only talent, being the son of doctors and making tinctures/medicines, is rendered useless by the dragon's spit-healing ability. His only use is being a convenient fk hole I guess.

Also why is mc a weakling with a poor constitution? So he can be constantly damseled? There should be an in-story reason for this that adds to tension somehow but damseling is boring if there's no point to it other than to show off how cool the boyfriend is. All I can do is roll my eyes.

There's no real backstory setup for older brother, an antagonist, where the mc considers him anything other than a nice older brother. Mc isn't into him the way his brother is into mc, so there is no tension where mc has to decide between his sexpest older brother and dragon boy he has already been fking. Older bro never stood a chance. And dragon boy could squash him like a grape if he wanted to, none of which is interesting or compelling to read about. What matters is what mc thinks, who mc is interested in, that is where tension comes from, and there just isn't anything there for older bro, so it's just a waste of space/time, watching him abuse mc. Mc is never going to choose him.

Also why does mc have to hide out in the woods despite being worse than useless, can't hunt, barely can gather weeds or cook, can't do anything to help himself, yet it's totally fine for older brother to continue living in the village? This makes no sense. Both should be shunned if either is going to be for association with the parents. Also the reason the parents where shunned is dumb. Skilled doctors charging too little for services and medicines? The villagers would probably defend them to the death to keep them around, not the opposite. The dragon mythology with the lightning could've been interesting if explained better and worked into the story better. Don't even remember why the parents (i think?) were lightninged to death by the dragon anyway. My memories of this make it seem like this makes no sense either.

What exactly does older bro do for a living anyway? He lives in a huge house/compound yet doesn't really do much other than wander around the woods with a bow on occasion. He also still makes medicines! Throw him out of the village! Why are they letting evil medicine makers associated with the terrible parents still stay in the village?! No sense, makes NO sense.

Dragon boy is actually okay. He's appropriately bratty for being young. It's a little weird to go with "he grew up from an egg to an adult in a week and now I fk him" but okay, I guess "it's magic" is good enough. Dragon boy's mom is shown for all of like 3 panels in the first two seasons wondering where her egg went and then nothing until after season 2. Surely they could've mounted a search and found him by now considering that the weakling mc couldn't've carried the egg THAT far, and a house sitting in the woods by itself is kind of obvious.

(Insert comment about the art and how flat their heads are and the boring character designs for the humans... anyway.)

The main issue here is there's nothing going on in this comic. Mc doesn't want anything. Dragonboy wants mc, but doesn't have more than 2 brain cells in his head so he doesn't think about anything else other than mc and sex. Instead of actually having a plot, such as like, mc wanting to move to a new town and opening a new apothecary business, or wanting to make amends with the town who threw his parents out, or going to study as an apprentice or just.... anything... it's all just smut.

This is not a compelling story, it's just porn.

I'm sure stuff happens beyond chapter 48 but even 48 chapters is too many before anything compelling happens. I just can't drag my way through this comic. I recommend skipping this one.

How I rate things, generally based off of writing only:
* Art must be great or must not be distracting. If art is distracting for any reason, I may ding it a star depending on how much so.
* Plot must make sense. Plot must build upon it self with an A->B->C->D progression.
* Setups must have payoffs. Payoffs must have setups. If there are a large amount of these dangling, then I might deduct a star.
* Characters must be interesting and/or likeable and have their own personalities. If they are cliche shoujo stereotypes that don't deviate much, it is likely a star will be deducted.
* Background details - characters who are moody or reactive or impulsive must have a reasonable backstory explanation. If characters behave abnormally without background/explanation, a star will likely be deducted.
* Setting details. Characters should go to work or school. There should be side characters who have names and dialog that aren't involved directly in the main romance. Characters should have families, or reasons why their families are gone. Characters living alone should have some explanation for how their living expenses are covered.
* Common cliches/tropes, like sick-in-the-rain, forced drinking, getting a character drunk to move the plot along, etc. Over-reliance on these will get a 1-star deduction.
* Everyone's gay, all girls are harpies, stockholm-syndrome plots, gay men are predators, homophobes, purposeless (story-wise) rape, and other problematic cliches will get a 1 or more star deduction depending on the depth of offenses.
* Grounded in reality. BL-crazyworld insanity will break emersion, and will get a 1-star deduction if severe enough. Adult characters should behave like adults, people should have realistic worries about life, characters should consider their sexuality before dive-bombing into someone's ahole, no overreliance on too many unlikely chance encounters.
* Writing 101 violations - author should have basic writing competence and know how to frame scenes, perform scene transitions, set and maintain a tone, maintain consistent and aggressive pacing, grow characters, thread side characters in and out, string plots together coherently, and end a story in a satisfactory way, tying up all important lose ends.
* Engagement - story must be engaging from the beginning to the end (or near to the end) or I will deduct 1-star. Things that are slogs to get through, usually due to pacing issues and a lot of problems related to the above, will get multiple stars deducted.
* Writing always trumps art - I can put up with some of what people would consider really sloppy/bad art if the writing in the story is good. The writing is by far the most important element. But good art will help eliminate unnecessary dialog bubbles and verbal explanation, and solid/good character expressions really add to the emotional feel of a scene. These get bonus points.
* A-plot/B-plot structure. Stories should have multiple things going on in the characters' lives, not just a romance. Work/school/family drama at the least, or mystery, fantastical, sportsball, etc. Stories without a main non-romance A-plot must be really well written to get full points from me.
