Ch 1-2, 5.1: Didn't like this story that much. It had an off-putting start and weird visual jumps that it felt like I was skipping pages. I know this book has 2 stories in it but keeping pace with the writing got confusing sometimes. This couple I ended up not giving a shit about by the time ch. 2 ended. Would've loved to've seen more of them getting to know each other so that the end of ch.2 could hit harder. I also don't like they did nothing with having one of the main mc's philophobia be a topic of discussion. I thought maybe their extra might talk about it more but, no, they just decided that the talk at the end of ch.2 didn't happen. Like, HADA WHAT DO YOU MEAN??? HE STRAIGHT UP TOLD YOU WHAT HAPPENED WHEN HE WAS A KID AND YOU'RE JUST GONNA FORGET THAT?!
Ch 3-4, 5.2: Better in a way that I think the story is cute and the characters I liked a lot more. It still has the weird visual jumps and too fast pacing to completely keep track of what's going on, but I actually felt another emotion that wasn't "anger with a side of what?" and that makes this better in my book. Seeing how this was the cover art story I did wish this would've been the 1st story we read because I also dropped the book 10 pages in.
skipped to ch.3 to read the main pairing between buntourou x ittetsu (ie, the childhood friends reuniting plot) which I enjoyed. Will come back to read the other couple's story another time
Pretty chill. The plot isnt too complicated and wasnt forced. I love how the author took the time to make every character look or feel like they're a real human with human emotions
