i cant say how much i love this manga, im really glad i saw a reccomendation for this manga, thank you random user on mangago for recommending this age-gap-masterpiece, knowing this getting an anime adaptation just takes the cake XD yayyy! im probably have to refrain myself for checking everyday for update of the new chapter
Akira Tachibana is a soft-spoken high school student who used to be a part of the track and field club but, due to an injury, she is no longer able to run as fast as she once could. Working part-time at a family restaurant as a recourse, she finds herself inexplicably falling love with her manager, a divorced 45-year-old man with a young son.
Despite the age gap, Akira wholeheartedly embraces his mannerisms and kind nature, which is seen as spinelessness by the other employees, and little by little, the two begin to understand each other. Although unable to explain why exactly she is attracted to him, Akira believes that a concrete reason is not needed to truly love someone. On a rainy day, she decides to finally tell her manager about how she feels... But just how will he react?
Putanhinang yan.
Such a bittersweet ending, to imagine the manga also finishes open like the anime ..... But it was so refreshing and fun to read, as much as I enjoyed how the author managed to keep their relationship not polemic (Kondou-san and Akira), the manga ended really abruptly. (I got curious about the other characters like Kase-san for example) At the same time I'm happy to read such beautiful story ngl I'm a bit frustrated :'')
Great work. Really slow developing story with a strong, poetical message and multi layered deep meaning. On the one hand you have the 17 years old Akira who feels what she thinks is love for her boss, but what in fact is admiration of a father figure she misses. On the other hand there is the 45 years old family restaurant manager who is fascinated by the youthful energy he sees in Akira. Their developing friendship helps them overcome their doubts and insecurities in life and gain new courage for the future. I love stories like this and if Mayuzuki sensei has more works like this one, she might very well become one of my favorite authors. The artwork is not ver good but has a specific, very fitting style.
I loved the manga but I'm sad. Idk how they just turned the end like this. I'm actually old I will never forget about my love in my teenage years, so why should she forget. I was really hoping they would meet again when she turned 20 or so.
fin; up to ch82; i know the plot drive is about age gap romance, but this manga is so much more than that. its a story of finding yourself. of growing up and not giving up dreams along the way.
Is this underrated? Cause if yes. Whyyyy?! The manga is beautiful! There's more than what you imagined. And the anime is the same as the manga! Please read this. It may give you the courage you've been looking for.
