I’d the same the anime is a little better if only because you get to receive the long winded explanations in a more entertaining manner.
This is essentially if you really like the game Clue and demons mixed together.
Overall I give it an 8.5/10

I am glad the author talked about how MC is being manipulated by the ones she serve as God. It is refreshing to view her as something more than smug know it all and as vulnerable person who is being tasked with thankless job. I understand why ML is protective of her. He sees in her, a victim of circumstance just like he is. It is funny how he never thinks of how she might hurt him while Rikka actually exploited MC's ruthlessness to expose her for how dangerous she is towards ML. It is fine to be all smug and know it all when you are 17 but path to adulthood and maturity teaches you real lesson about yourself. Rikka is ruthless but she also wants to live a normal life and wants same for her cousin. To be not used in this whole mess in which MC is involved. I actually sympathized with her goal. In long term the main pair is not going to work. Something is going to tear them apart.

The plot twist of Yuki Onna and Hanbei I hahe hope and thought that they were a couple, but no! It was an unrequired love of Hanbei's side all along. It was a sad story for Hanbei who can't have the one he love, for Yuki Onna who lost the one she love, and for the grandson who lost a family then a father figure.

It is refreshing how smug, how eccentric the heroine is. Meanwhile, the male lead seems so emotionally indifferent to everything. Our female lead is rather...forward, even clingy, when it comes to the impassive Kuro. Professionally, she"ll resolve any otherworldly case with detached efficiency (makes one think they're both pretty frosty).
