a real rollercoaster of bittersweet emotions mixed with tragedy …:( you can’t survive this mangakas works without shedding tears

Ch 1 touched me in such a way that by the end of the chapter, I had uncontrollable tears running down my face without even realizing it was happening. I was laying on my tear soaked pillow wondering what the heck just happened. The pace was wonderful, nothing was rushed. So heart-warming, upsetting, heart wrenchingly beautiful. I went into this story knowing nothing, I didn't read the descriptions or comments before I dove right in. Just wow.

Tooru Shinomiya is a young college student who models for photography students. Can't find rule dj - fragile

Warning: Tragedy - the sort that requires an entire box of tissues and then some
Tooru grew up not having a good handle on human emotions. He is in arts school where a graduate student, Matsuoka, from the photography department pays him to pose nude for photographs that end up winning a grand prize in some contest. Since money seems to be the only thing that moves him, Matsuoka also routinely pays him for physical intimacy (including kissing). But Tooru does it more out of curiosity than for the money and starts selling himself in the gay district soon after. So Matsuoka stops sleeping with him on the pretext of not having enough money though he continues to use him as a model, lets him hang around him apartment and stocks up on his favorite sweets. Tooru soon starts yearning for his touch and spends all his free time hanging around Matsuoka's apartment. But he only realizes their feelings for one another when he receives a package that has photographs with sticky notes and a room key that Matsuoka failed to deliver in person.
This is depressing stuff written with the sole aim of causing dehydration in readers. But it is completely relatable and logical and exactly what could happen if tragedy strikes when 2 people with the characteristics mentioned in the story were to ever meet. Tooru is slightly broken and low on EQ which makes it impossible for him to understand emotions - both his own and that of others. Matsuoka is the cool, quiet sort who don't wear their hearts on their sleeves even when he is not specifically trying to hide anything. He pursues Tooru in his own way and even the confession that he doesn't manage to deliver in person is very reflective of his character. A good read.

The two-part story was really fluffy for once! ARGH, but the main storylines within this story's universe are pretty tragic (except for Hitomi and Ryuu who reunited in the end of Hydra <3 ) - this mangaka really knows how to pull your heartstrings; I'm suffering while reading this yet I can't seem to get enough of those subtle, heartwarming moments that sometimes pop up in between the tragic events. It's truly beautiful.
