Sooooo I read it long ago but I just forgot to add it to my „already read“-list. Actually, 4 years ago I started watching anime. Monster, Chainsaw Man and Tokyo Revengers made me read manga and I‘ve stuck with it ever since. I love Monster, such an amazing story telling and the characters are well written. I‘m reading 20th Century Boys rn, another work from Urasawa. Idk why but Monster is kinda my comfort anime. It doesn’t really make sense, but whenever I remember monster I feel great. Please go ahead and read this manga!
9.5/10. Wasn’t this something. The story surrounds a neurosurgeon who gets swept up in a string of murders that follow the young patient he saved, a twin. The manga invites us to evaluate our own moral compasses and ethics.
Just a word of advice to anyone considering reading this: I made the horrible mistake reading through the entire story waiting for it to shift gears, and I missed out on so much. If you start reading this and waiting for it to turn into something else, it won’t. You have to appreciate it for what it is. By the time reached the end of this I started realizing how much I missed out on, and I really regret the way I approached it. I think if I’d had the right mindset this could’ve been one of my favorite manga.
