THIS STORY IS NONSENSE. GOOD THAT I READ THE LAST CHAP. IT IS QUICK TO UNDERSTAND THEIR PAINFUL PASTS BUT IT DOESN'T REALLY MAKE SENSE. I HAD A PLOT TWIST THERE. IT'S ALL PURE FLASHBACKS THEN TRAUMA IN THE PRESENT. THANK YOU FOR WASTING MY TIME. A "RADIO STORM" STORY IS MORE ACCEPTABLE. THAT HAS MAKE SENSE.

it's very complicated, with several plot twists. however i felt that it couldve been presented in a more digestible way. it kinda felt all over the place, like the author is making it over-complicated for the sake of it. like, i get what's going on and stuff, but i think some overview narration would make me understand better, and thus appreciate the story more. esp the last 5 or so chapters. the author should've used it to clarify some stuff

FUCKING PEEEAAAK

OK so my rating might come down a little after I have more time to sit on this, but I just haven't read a BL in so long that was so thoroughly entertaining and suspenseful with characters that were so rich in complexities. Neither Jesse nor Law were really good people, and the actual plot was very morally questionable but in a way that was just so good to read.

Jesse and Law were great characters, and their relationship was so complex and frustrating but never actually hard to read. It was frustrating in a way that made you root for them, in a way that made you want to see it to the end instead of just putting it down. Both Jesse and Law were kind of these emotionally stunted men who couldn't really communicate well, but it didn't fall into the death-trap of miscommunication just for the sake of it. The way the characters acted felt very natural to who they are.

The actual mystery of the story was very engaging, as I was reading I kept making my own assumptions and theories and I felt as confused and disjointed as Jesse did as new information constantly kept getting revealed to him. And the actual payoff was great, it wasn't underwhelming, it didn't feel like it came out of nowhere. It was perfect.

Honestly I don’t know whether to give this a low rating because it’s unhealthy and toxic romance or higher rating because it’s a masterpiece in psychological fiction. If I looked at as a romance, they both suck, they deserve each other. Maybe it’s best to look at it as a psychological thriller, as I can HARDLY see these two as anything romantic or loving. If you look at it from Jesse’s perspective it is horror. Imagine losing your memories with only a creepy untrustworthy man in control of literally everything you own to trust, to the point you somewhat fall in love and give yourself over to him, only to find out he did betray you, and you go through all that only to find out that it was all VR that he trapped you in. Law should go to prison since he drugged, kidnapped, and put him through severe mental stress. They are pure obsession and definitely deserve my ‘so toxic it’s a biohazard’ tag. I kinda like stories like these where they’re both the bad guy and no one is innocent. The author is great at creating plot twists and keeping you guessing to the point where you can’t trust Jesse’s. memories, investigation, or judgement, Law’s memories, or even the staff. At some point I stopped trying to figure it out and just let the story carry me. I love stuff like this we honestly need more of it.
