I love this so far! The ML is getting wayyy to much unnecessary hate. He clearly loves her and the reasons he's acting like a jerk is to either protect her or to try and force her to explode instead of acting like a doll. He's trying to get her to just be herself in someway in anyway and that's what would make him happy. He loves her and he wants her emotions towards him to be genuine good or bad. He's trying desperately to not make her feel trapped in a role that was forced onto her. The character development for him is incredible and clearly the writer put in a ton of thought. 10/10 would recommend.
The parents are awful. I feel so sorry for FL. The ML is both an idiot and abusive- he knows he has more power than her and could just help her without forcing himself on her
Sigh, but I want to see how it develops. It's like a soap opera
"You are born to be his bride. Once you marry him, our family business can secure the biggest support." That's what I've been told and instructed to do growing up. I feel like a prisoner of my family. Everything is suffocating! Fine, just lock up my feelings and consider my marriage as pure business—I will like whatever he likes, wear whatever he prefers, and behave whichever way he fancies. Just marry him and get this over for good! However, we did grow up together and were once childhood sweethearts. What if... he really loves me and wants the best for me?
