This was utterly ridiculous. All the characters were abhorrent. The uke was a selfish, waffling little brat; the parents were manipulative and the seme, although less selfish than the uke, was still a selfish, deceptive creep. There wasn't a single character to like!
Yamato Nase has some of the most appealing art to my taste. And it's just incredibly unfortunate that her seme's often make me sick. I really hate the kind of seme that's entitled, a rapist, unremorseful and turns the uke into a doormat. And this seems to show up frequently in sensei's work. When she has this kind of dynamic her uke's begin to show signs of brainwashing/psychological abuse. And its portrayed as 'cute' with the reader expected to make exceptions and understand that horrible men should get to be horrible and the one that should change is their partner/victim.
I really want to like her work. But in order to appreciate a manga with abuse as a theme, for me it needs to be made clear that the abuse is not okay. Or have the seme really remorseful (not emotional blackmail remorseful, not 'I'll never do it again so the fact that I raped you/imprisoned you/continue to appropriate your freedom is A-okay now and I'll definitely do it again'). There just needs to be a little more humanity. Since I'm sensitive to abuse. So while I like some of sensei's other works, this one is a big 'no' for me. Gorgeous art, promising plot, but fail relationship dynamic.
only son of a soba show owner. horribly pissed at this regular who orders him like a maid. he had to endure serving mr. sexual harassment everytime. #secret identity - uke thought that this guy is just some bored (and jobless lol) guy hanging around but seme suddenly appeared to their house in a different manner one day. #age gap. adult seme x immature young uke.
