I'm surprised that this is her debut work. Even from the beginning, she already had that incredible knack for pacing. She also knows how to work with her characters well, especially considering that these were all short one shots.
1st: Two of the tops students in high school starts a relationship after some issues. One of them had to peruse the other before they started dating. 2nd: School teacher's old classmate (sex friend) appears on his doorstep and disspaears (repeat). 3rd: New boss who is gay and the only guy in the office. 4th: old friends. One took over the family coffee shop and the other went away for collage. 5th: prosecutor and police officer
Hidako Shoko's debut work; incredibly amazing considering the fact that it's pretty much a collection of one-shots. I love how cinematic her style is and I'm in love with her art style. <3
1. top 1 vs top 2; rivalry and romance lol i love this trope 2. high school boyfriends get back together and finally mature!!!!! also: series title 3. coffee shop owner x student artist; all about learning how to make a choice 4. prosecutor x police administrative officer; having to keep their relationship secret forever
Every story pretty much came off as unhealthy to me how it lacked communication between the couples and patching it up with intercourse. Maybe Not Enough Time meant how the mangaka didn't have enough time to develop these stories
This is really impressive... because I read that this was her pre debut mangas and these are phenomenal..... and I don't use that word lightly when rating Yoai or manga. the art style was beautiful and the characters were easy to tell apart. There were 4 or 5 one-shots and they were all great, which I found really likable since none of them were boring. Black and white. 10/10
Not Enough Time > Signal > Arashi no Ato > Hatsukoi No Atosaki Yousuke suddenly shows up on the door step of his old high school buddy Tanigawa after years of no contact. While the two had a budding relationship back in school, things fell apart and they decided to part ways and search for their true love. However, it might be that their relationship in the golden days of high school was what they have been looking for all along. A second storyline involves two of Tanigawa's students and a misunderstanding that threatens their relationship. The story between Shibuya and Mikami continues at one of the chapters of Signal
