i really tried getting into the story but MC just creeps me out, he's so fcking cringy as well cz why tf would he target a person who has zero interest in what he wants, out of all the people and out of all the methods he could do to actually get a significant other... i hate those kinds of people

Adults who just met; sex worker with normal office guy; age gap like 5-8 years (?). mc works at a newspaper and doesn't have time to date. instead he gets call boys when he has time. he really likes a new one he rents, nao, who is is type, good at sex, sweet, but won't let mc kiss him. kisses turn mc on the most. anyway. mc keeps renting nao, and they keep seeing each other, and eventually start doing things outside of rentals, and mc realizes he's fallen for nao. he thinks that nao might feel the same, but nao quits his job as a call boy and mc isn't sure what to do. the romance in this one is as good as it can be for this author. although i don't love these prostitute stories because i feel like this is a manga-fiction notion of how being a callboy works, like they don't just let you quit, usually they are people in massive debt to loan sharks or whatnot. also, there is some rapeyness with a 3rd wheel who just wouldn't take no for an answer in the middle of the office even. i don't like that prospective bf has to swoop in to save mc when he couldn't just push annoying guy off of him. and as soon as nao swoops in, guy just backs off like it ain't no big deal, never wanted him to begin with. all of this felt unnecessary and added an ick factor to reading this. this probably could've been a 5/5 if the author had managed to figure out some other way of injecting tension aside from unreasonable 3rd parties who are willing to rape and blackmail, i mean c'mon. anyway, the main love story is good, and they leads are likeable. a good short read as usual, with a few issues.
