Native American mom talks about being unable to choose a mate, as it is destiny, proceeds to be racist and homophobic. White guy's fam treated his coming out confession as rebellion and disowns himself (as he thinks that they disowned him). Native American's bestfriend is an asshole and a homophobic but should be tolerated coz he's reared by an abusive dad. But "it's ok" coz love wins. Mom steps back and realize she shouldn't dissuade her son's love. White guy's parents has lingering prejudice of "it's a shame" but they're pretty welcoming. Bestfriend realized he's been an asshole and apologized (did get mauled and turned to a werewolf, so he's fr staying). It's a "if they don't accept my happiness, they never really cared about me" type of relationship woven to balance all relationships affected by same sex relationship
I thought this would go on for ever, I’m fucking crying. I put this off for a while but this was GOOD, ugh I need more Native American stuff I think, I don’t like token minority characters, but you could really feel the feeling of community i loved it ugh
OK I loved this. It showed a Native American Indian dude that wasn't "cliche" and I love that. It was very nicely done, and Bit was so frigging adorable! But, I would have loved to see them switching it up haha. I'll definitely be looking for the books.
