super good manga! although the stereotypes of men and women are highlighted a lot, i think it really puts a light on how femininity is something to be cherished. although their femininity is quite different from mine, i appreciate the determination for happiness. amano was a lovable MC who wanted to achieve femininity whilst finding happiness. i loved her, she was entertaining and lovable. the romance was great and realistic—all in all, everything was poetically beautiful.
this is too beautiful. it was a long ride but full of learnings. every character has its depths and most of all, we get a full glimpse of a working life where u meet people and have to say goodbye, make decisions for u're growth, move forward, face your insecurities and build yourself. this is just too beautiful. it's a steady read. there might be a few times when i thought, maybe it'll be ok to skip this part only to be given a wham on the next page and then you just cant help but read it page by page, panel by panel and it's like really, walking u through life, both at work and as an individual, there's no skip in life!
when i first read this i couldn't stop. it was good with the drama, slice of life and comedy. This is one of my fav slice of. and recommend if anyone is into it
This is one of the few manga I can say I absolutely love with all my heart. It's as the description says: an expert (and dowdy) saleswoman learns about the influential powers of fashion, sales and marketing. It also dives into the biggest dilemma of the modern and driven working woman: choosing between the joyous challenges and non-stop demands of a career or a comfortable "secure" promised future of marriage. The main character Asano is loveable and easy to relate to. Her co-workers and customers are quirky and interesting without being to "out there" (they keep their realness). As Asano faces and conquers each challenge, with each fashion/sales victory, I can actually say that I share her joy and satisfaction. It really touches me.
This work is beautifully translated and illustrated and I also love the photos included. I give a kudos to the translation team for consistently including the Y=USD translation notes! Seriously, it's a wonderfully written story.
I like it though it isn't something I would normally look at. I basically started reading this as something to kill time (at that moment), but then realized that it isn't that bad. However, when they get too detailed into the fashion talk, I start to space out and skim a bit lol.
