"nice men" like him are pathetic. female lead needs to stand up for herself because he's already made the same mistake twice. do not ever settle for a man who apologizes for one thing and does the same goddamm thing again later on. if he can't say no to other people then those other people can have him.

I remember reading this many years ago and wasn't able to finish it due to school. I'm so happy that Mei got the happiness that she deserves. Also the part where they all seperate after school made me realize that I'm becoming like that with my friends right now due to COVID. I just recently graduated high school last June and I'm sad to say that I'll miss my friends

I honestly don’t like and read/see romantic stories (manga, anime, movie). Mainly because they are far far away from reality. But this manga is completely different. The characters are mostly realistic and everyone finds themselves a character they can identify with. The author not rush anything the characters nicely grow up, they are facing difficulities but in the end together they are solve everything issue regarding relatioship, shoool basic life questions.

So, I finally got to where she had sex with him, and I think that is where their problems start. I don't think he pushed her into sex either. I think she wanted him as much as he wanted her. I liked how that was written actually.

He is obsessed with her after that, and I can't truly figure out if it's because she isn't as obsessed with him after they have sex or what. Clearly, he doesn't get her working out was all because she wanted to look good for him, but I think he wanted Mei to make him his world, and when she is more focused on the future, he starts in on this modeling stuff again but this time through photography. Now I'm not saying he doesn't like photography, but he exchanges one obsession for another when Mei doesn't react the way he wants.

Trust me, guys want you to think sex is the best thing on earth after the first time you do it with them, and if you don't react the way they want, they get in panic mode and lose their minds. Mei doesn't see that because she's so naive she doesn't feel he can be that way about her. Instead, she thinks he doesn't like her any longer. Their signals are completely crossed.

I don't think necessarily she felt it wasn't the best thing, but she was more worried about her future (I also feel a part of Mei is waiting for the other shoe to drop with their relationship). He forgets deep down Mei is still that shy girl with things like that. It was hard enough for her to back hug him or kiss him! lol

IMHO, The reason he acts strange around Meg is because Meg DID worship him to the point of obsession, and now he's in her shoes with Mei like that. So I think a part of him is wondering if maybe he should have stayed with someone who he knew wanted him that much, but I don't think he really feels that way. He tries everything to get Mei to want him more and be solely focused on him. Then, he starts taking pictures of her constantly because he feels this will connect them since Mei isn't all about the sex. I honestly do feel he sees that sex is a way to connect with her and not just some instant physical gratification moment for him. I do think it is deeper than that.

It's kind of interesting and yet a tad creepy if you think about it. It's all about his ego, and how he never had his heart in anything in the past, so now he's lost how to handle this. I even started to wonder if he was jealous of his big brother and Mei at one point (reaction when he hears he has a gift for Mei), and I was pissed at him when he basically told her Kai didn't need her. Since he's talking to Meg again, why can't she help poor Kai? I really like Kai a lot and them together, so in a way, I wish she at least had given him a shot at one point just to get Yamato to get his act together with the way he treats her.

He even starts to get jealous of her girlfriends saying they're taking up too much of her time. He just gets very possessive towards her after sex, and I think it's just him falling in love for the first time and unable to handle his feelings. They sort of in a way exchange places. Mei finally feels she's finding herself, and Yamato is lost without Mei at his side all the time.

I was discussing this with someone, and I said I want to read the rest just to see if Yamato does change for the better because right now I wouldn't stay with him. I remember watching the anime getting so upset with him before her girlfriend clued him in on his stupidity, and then, it was as if he was a different person even better than before Meg. I just hope this time something clicks in a good way again because right now he's weird AF towards Mei, and now she thinks he doesn't even like her. They are the king/queen of mixed signals sadly.

I don't really care for Meg BTW. I don't think she deserves Kai at all nor do I see the connection he had with Mei. The author clearly disagrees with me.

So glad I finally got around to reading the manga after watching the anime years ago! The story was realistic and the characters weren’t perfect. Mei was relatable and although her actions are frustrating sometimes, I found myself thinking ahh I would have probably reacted the same. Overall, I absolutely adored this manga

Really liked the manga, the main couple was adorable and it’s yet another classic shoujo manga that I wanted to read for a longer while. The artstyle is also rlly interesting to look at!

Maybe she never experienced any love other than familial so she couldn't leave him after experiencing something new and treasured it too much

this shit is just too good. I've rewatched the anime multiple times that i lost count but its my first time reading full manga till the end, I DO NOT REGRET ANY MOMENT OF IT. Can anyone, someone, give me a Yamato please :""")

really good, the main couple is not really that "intense" they give off a more relaxing and mature feeling and I liked that for a change. Don´t know about the second half tho, I think it could have been more interesting and less overly dramatic, but the ending is super cute.

the ml is so annoying

I almost finished watching the anime and out of all the romance anime Ive watched the male lead here is my least favourite, I dont like his character at all so I said Im gonna read the manga coz he may change but after reading all the comments I'm disappointed and dont want to read it anymore.
