This manga was great but the first few chapters when Tama said their were step siblings I had a feeling it was gonna be that weird incest relationship like was it necessary. Cause the Manga has amazing characters especially senya with tsukiko their relationship was amazing but jinka never showed interest in Tama romantically till he said I'm making her my wife out of nowhere which threw me off and the entire I love you sister thing was icky like say her name instead of that. That moment could have been beautiful now its ruined. Anyway it's great if you can get past that which isn't seen alot but it would have been better without it. 6/10
Part 1 was personally a little iffy for me. The brother-sister fake incest thing was weird and Jinka was a bit too much of an edgelord for me. I didn't really understand his relationship with the fox girl or why he could use her powers or why they claimed to be siblings. I'm not even sure if it was explained how they met, and the explanation for how Jinka became overpowered was not clear at all. But Part 2 was fantastic. Senya was a great protagonist with great mentors and a great traveling party and I loved how all the characters from Part 1 evolved in Part 2. The ending was a little bittersweet but it ultimately had a great message, I think. I read this manga in one sitting and I fully recommended it to other readers wondering if they should give it a shot before or after the anime comes out.
Just a spectacular book. Well paced, multi-faceted with a likable cast where even the jerkiest of characters are relatable and sympathetic. Great art and simply compelling and ultimately extremely satisfying and quite funny,
