I have to say, Esuto Emu is one of the most interesting authors in manga-dom ! The art isn't extravagant and what I would call "minimalist". But the stories are superb ! They are for a mature audience that has all their brain cells intact. lol ! Loved it !
Holy frijoles! What a scintillating, intelligent, heartfelt, and romantic manga. OK, this mangaka is JUST BRILLIANT. OMG! I love ALL THE STORIES. What great storytelling and artwork to match. This is a definite keeper. Love love them all. How amazing!
in the first story, I feel bad for Yves!! for what he had to bear when he was alive and then when he came out from the picture he is forced to come back again!! so sad!!! that Maurice made him go back and didn't fight for him!! he just let him go and at the end felt regrets?!! WTF!!
I liked the first and the story about the old man in the park(4th I think). Est Em has such unique style in art and plot. Sometimes I like, sometimes not. But to be unique is worth at least 3 stars every time :)
Ever since he discovered the rough sketch for a lost painting by the 19th century French artist Maurice Olivier in a library book, a modern-day art expert, also named Maurice, has yearned to see the actual painting. Is it the work of art he's in love with or its mysterious subject?

unique one- and two-shots. the main story is an art history mystery and is really fun and rather sweet. the flamenco one is a little all over the place, but i think the restlessness matches the energy of the MC. en el parque is heartbreaking, i actually cried a little. the extras are nice, too. great art, and writing, as always.
