Let’s all be real. We’re just reading it for sniper mask. Edit: when I wrote this I watched the anime. I think the manga is better. It kinda improved my opinion about it. [spoiler] the end is so rushed TwT
Interesting concept and decent art but let down by a story that reads like it was created by a 10-year-old. The author has serious planning and attention span issues because no plot thread lasts longer than 10 chapters. As soon as they get bored of a storyline, the MCs run into some deus ex machina that resolves the problem in 2 panels and they move on.
At one point, the author writes themselves into a corner where the main chars are facing the final boss. Obviously the author didnt want the story to end at that point, because at the climax of the battle, the protagonist spontaneously learns to teleport and ERASES HERSELF FROM THE PLOT. I sincerely wish I was joking, but she literally disappears and the next chapter we just start a new arc.
At another point, after a big battle our protagonists are beaten up. Unfortunately the author killed off the doctor character for emotional weight a few chapters before this, so their solution is to retcon and entirely new NPC character in who is literally introduced as "oh, you're here to heal us." And NO other plot.
The editor also needs to please tell the author that ending every other chapter with a nondetailed shadow sneaking up on our protagonists and a "behind them! Who is this new player?!" is NOT compelling storywriting - I swear half of the cast is first introduced as a nondescript shadow spying on the mains chars
