While I might occasionally want to see a male lead suffer a little more or have to grovel, beg and cry a bit, I'm rarely disappointed when I see them forgiven. Not this time. Not only did I want to see him on his knees pleading for forgiveness, but I also wanted to see him doing it while she walked away, threw her wedding ring over her shoulder, got in a luxury car, and drove off leaving him behind for good. That is, for me who loves a good reconciliation story, quite literally, a first.
SPOILER ALERT: The FL was absolutely right. He is not suited to be a father. He isn't suited to be a HUSBAND! Was he serious? He felt so bad about their wedding night that he didn't feel worthy to touch her? And so he went out and added insult to injury by publicly doing the most awful, hurtful thing a husband could to a wife, having the gall to feel proud that he saw her once a year for her birthday, for EIGHT years!! And he thinks he's doing good by the woman he says he loved since he married her?!? EIGHT YEARS?!?
You think in eight years he would be able to grow up, realize what a bastard he's been, put on his big boy pants, apologize, and then start bending over backward to make things right. I'm sorry. He has three mistresses and gets mad that she has a male friend? He leaves her alone for 8 years, blackmails her into staying, and the first thing he gives her after she passes out from the stress of being confronted by and then seeing him with his mistresses is accusations and arrogance?!? I'll say it. When she received her inheritance and didn't need him to save her animals anymore, she should have handed him papers and walked. If he really loved her, he could start over from scratch and take however long it needed to prove he was serious this time.
Apologies to the author, but I am completely unable to read any more of this. Ms. Graham has the ability to create the most disgusting of fictional male characters. If the word “irredeemable” wasn’t already in the dictionary, it would have to be coined for the sole purpose of providing an adjective for her MLs.

One of the worst story I ever read, it doesn’t make sense!!! ML and FL were in a force arranged marriage and during those 8 years of marriage ML has been cheating on FL with 3 different mistress and flaunts it in public for everyone to see and humiliates FL and only see FL once a year for her birthday?!!!??? When FL wants a divorce so she can start her own family, he suddenly decided he wants to be a good husband?!?? Hell no!!!!! FL must be one of the dumbest bc she finally has money to get away from ML when he blackmails her to stay with him, but decided to run back to ML when she finds out he didn’t cheat on her during their wedding night, BUT she is totally stupid bc he still cheated on her with 3 other women during their fucking marriage and treats her like shit!!!! I hated FL was a virgin and ML was fucking happy about it, thinking she saved her virginity for him during their 8 years of marriage when he goes fucks other women!!!! The worst part is at the end, ML never apologized or begged FL for forgiveness and he said he liked FL the day he met her but his pride was wounded bc everyone knows he married her bc of his father, so he decided to be terrible and thinking saving his pride by not acknowledging FL as his wife and cheats on her!!!! I want FL to leave him and make him suffer by ruining his company and humiliates him so the whole world can see!!!!! He threw away FL twice but she ran back to him, I hope she’s miserable too, so she knew she made a mistake being with him fucking stupid FL!!!!
I truly hate the ml!!!! How the hell you 'love' your wife but slept around for 8 YEARS??!! The fl need to take everything frim him and cut his manhood off.
