Listened to ningyo hime while reading the end. I'm speechless. I think, but now... I've found the pages where the seagulls get caught with the net before, stitched and saved them as a screensaver. I had a hunch that there exists a story to what those pages belong to, and just looking at the mans expression, I could already guess, that it'll end as tragedy. You can see the fear and angst in his eyes. The oneshot is well written (overlooking the spelling mistakes) and nicely done. Even though some need to get used to the drawing style, it's very expressive and in terms of colour accurate.
it's a monologue of when a girls visiting ocean and she met a dead seagull with imaginary human shape.... then the seagull told the story about how he became the bait for his friend the shark... shark wants to help him break free, but instead shark was stabbed and then he died.... seagull died too, but he died in the beach sand, he can't go to meet his friend the shark, thus he plea to the girl to please bring him back to the sea in which his friend, the shark is resting and waiting for him (I'M CRYING, DAMN THAT HURTS)
at first I didn’t understand what was happening until I saw the dead seagull.. then it all clicked into place and I cried a little bit because that was so sad.. the story was written so simple and beautiful, the art was gorgeous too.
ok this one-shot really touched my heart and it's a very unique story I teared up a bit when I saw his friend was caught and cut his first dorsal fin then I just drowned in tears when I saw the seagulls dead body
Now when I see a shark being cut up I will think of this. And I thought I was dumb because I don't understand what they're saying but turn out i was reading it wrong.
