Ten years ago, a strong warrior named Thors lost his life in a fight with Askeladd - a powerful and ruthless Viking. Having witnessed his demise, Thors’ son, Thorfinn, became consumed by hatred and vowed to exact revenge on his father’s killer in an honorable duel. With nowhere to go, Thorfinn was recruited onto Askeladd’s ship and began working with the crew as they pillage settlements and trick naive armies. Now, the young boy spends his days honing his battle skills while carrying out Askeladd’s bidding in order to earn his reward of a duel with the vicious captain. But despite having failed in all his bouts with the man he despises so much, will the day ever come when Thorfinn can finally defeat Askeladd and lay his father’s memory to rest?

Watching the anime...will have to read the manga now.

The anime is really good. Season 1 is about rage and we get to see how thorfinn when he still child. While season 2 really cure me since they added some funny scenes. Please, i just cant get over how cute they potray thorfinn in season 2. He looks so smol and soft. I just cant. Plus the existent of einar really saved thorfinn from darkness. I just love allllll the scenes in anime. Like how we also can feel the feeling of anger, sadness, and everything.

I hope there will be season 3 of this anime soon

Thorfinn is son to one of the Viking's greatest warriors, but when his father is killed in battle by the mercenary leader Askeladd, he swears his intent to have revenge. Thorfinn joins Askeladd's group in order to challenge him to a duel, and ends up caught in the middle of a war for the crown of England.
