Country raised 19yo Kiichi moves to Tokyo for University and takes up residence in a shared house with the ugly cat he rescued on his first day. There he meets the mature salaryman Arima-san who starts a gentle pursuit of the newcomer. The story follows Kiichi as he fits in with his new housemates and struggles to deal with guilty feelings over an old high school friend. Despite his reputation as a bit of a player, Arima-san is very respectful of Kiichi‘s inexperience and uncertainty and proves to be kind and thoughtful. He even warned Kiichi that his kindness may have ulterior motives, but given that Arima-san fell for Kiichi at first sight, those ulterior motives really only amounted to a sweet wooing with some cheeky moments. I liked the story and how Kiichi grew emotionally strong enough to face his problems and to know when to let go.
I don't get why people hating this story simply just cuz of slap and almost rape really people uke is also guy here either he get slap or punch its not bad since he told seme he will resolve this matter himself , anyway seme is kinda perv but funny dude , I liked it .
Kiichi transferred to an apartment near to his school, then he knew afterwards that his neighbors have quite interesting characters. Though a matured guy named Arima san peaks his attention that he get at ease by this guy's kindness. Though he feels something developing whenever he is with Arima san, something hinders him from accepting this growing feelings in him
It's really good if you read it as a coming-of-age, slice-of-life book. I noticed Kiichi was coded as bisexual when he was musing on the confession from his best friend, so it was nice to see it reaffirmed later when he makes a distinction of his first relationship (not having had a boyfriend or girlfriend).
