Fast paced slow burn. I give it credit for having more depth than a puddle but the characters and romance were somewhat boring. I was way more invested in Decker and Dorothea’s romance lol… perhaps it’s because Asha’s primary driving character flaw is her indecision, and lack of ability to acknowledge her own desires?

a good reverse manhwa!! if its usually a male knight or warrior who become a war hero and given the princess as the prize, here in this its female war hero given a prince as the prize!! and asha is such a strong baddie too!!! im glad that cecilia and dorothea is not going to the third person trope and im happy that they finally get to choose their own path to happiness too!! its soo sooo good seeing all these baddie around. also carlisle is one devoted head over heels husband to asha too im glad he realized his feelings quickly and never been a jerk to asha ><

Honestly I hated the ml in the beginning - he was pompous, arrogant and condescending towards the MC, Asha. But he underwent tremendous character development

Carlisto...Carlisis...Carlistle... And then I just kept reading the name as Charlize. At some point it appeared that he had a half-sister by that name, but no matter. Well, it went a bit crazy, the plot, with very strange holes, like completely forgetting that Charlize, or anyone else for that matter, can just be sniped with an arrow. It's like they forgot bows was even a thing. Or the priest being lured in some sort of a biga** tower and the hundreds of people were sitting quietly, not even coughing, no floorboards creaking, nothing at all and the priest not noticing. Similar things kept throwing me off and making me laugh, but it was a pretty good read in general.

I was attracted in the beginning but towards the end I can only say, it was a waste of time. It is too surface level with no depth to any character. I found asha cool and that was my motive but idk it's like the boyfriend effect happened and it was not her story anymore. Maybe if never was but idk. She won the war is the premise and yet sigh. I feel bad for her. What a waste tchtch
