Can’t believe no one else is pointing out the gorgeous art. Christ. I couldn’t follow the story during my first read because I kept getting distracted by the lineart and the shading. 10/10

the best short one shot. so good. leaves you with questions but isn't unsatisfying. it gives you a sense of unease, a feeling that everything's not quite right, these boys are not quite normal, then hits you straight with the occult. animal sacrifice, talking creatures, references to unknown myths, and the sigil of the occult at the very end. there's a dry sense of humor that makes everything even stranger; there is no villain or bloody conflict, no big struggles or jumpscares. the mc is never uneasy or scared, which actually adds to the sense of horror for me. it's a place that's not for us.
