god when yumi and hayashida takes it, my heart aches so badly because it goes all downhill from there. yumi focusing on the positive became the victim of all the pent up anger hayashida had from his abuse. just one big cycle of pain. all those happy moments they had were tainted. i simultaneously feel bad for yumi and hayashida. for ppl struggling to forgive hayashida: u don't have to. it's more about understanding his actions and seeing if yumi forgives him and he repents for his actions. you don't have to use his abuse to justify his actions, only to understand his downfall further. abused people often abuse other people. it's unfortunately realistic and it's bittersweet, but im happy that in the end both yumi and hayashida found peace and love separately.
