Crazy how the story went. A real roller coaster. From happy vibe high school romance to traumatic reencounter of ex-lovers to triangle, no, quadruple love at some point to everyone went their separate ways
I sweat buckets reading the last arc when Kangjin must choose between the boss and Jungkwon. Lowkey Kangjin and the boss makes a good couple, if only the boss leave the organization. Nah, but even then, no way the organization would let him leave unscathed. Maybe he is destined to forever alone. Well, bachelor life is not bad, just dedicate your life to the organization. Don’t abandon your bros. Maybe. I’m kinda conflicted about this…
What a shame to Jungkwon, he finally seemingly to get his love back but it ended like that. At least he got to start over without any debt.
I’m really curious about Kangjin tho. Did he reconcile with his father? Idk about his finance but that should be a reasonable guess. I was thinking maybe Kangjin could get together with his doc, may be, but he’s good being single now. Like he said, he should love himself first before loving anyone.
The bar’s associates are asses lol. At one point I even think they’re kinda nice but nah. Both the owners are rotten to the core.
Anyway, this is good. I want something like Jungkwon and Kangjin could meet again later in their lives, after settled down and maybe, fall in live again. Just having a feeling the thread of destiny is gonna do that. Their chemistry is real good so.

what the fuck is that beginning??? In 5 chapters kangjin goes from attempted suicide to jerking off w jungkwon.. then they have sex go on one date and somehow im supposed to believe this “relationship” meant so fucking much to them that the messy break up was a pivotal moment in their lives??? And im supposed to care??
If ur gonna write a story where their current dynamic and character is heavily effected by their history together then put some effort into showing the readers what that past really was.. not a half baked speedrun that doesn’t even show how they really got tgt and fell in love. I literally didnt even know they were dating until their text msgs bc all they did was jerk off tgt. Their break up scene was straight up goofy from how trivial their relationship seemed but wait Oh the entire rest of the story is based on that moment oh god

Theres no solid foundation so everything after just falls apart, none of their love feels real, the dialogue is clunky and everyones life sucks.

the author keeps skimming past the build up period of relationships and only focuses on how it falls apart and the aftermath of it. I think she expects the readers to just understand that the characters love eachother so much but bc she doesn’t actually show it alot of these scenes dont evoke the emotion that its meant to.
theres no tension bc i dont care about a relationship i didnt see developing. im honestly surprised so many people are praising this story.

Aside from that I do appreciate that every character sucks in their own way, I think I hated all of them at some point but in the end I rooted for them all.. except that fox eyed fuck and that dim looking one, karma WILL get their ass. the actor part of the story was interesting too, i dont think it helped with the storytelling but it definitely made the angst more bearable

dammit this story is just exceptional. it’s not short but it doesnt FEEL long. the characters are all hot as fuck. in the special ep when their “actors” say they were each told to consider themselves the main character, that shit was executed flawlessly. there was real drama with real stakes and real consequences and granted all of it was quite extreme but that just made it even more emotional. none of the main characters are faultless angels nor are any despicable villains. i was truly rooting for jungkwon, kangjin, chisoo, and roah all at the same time. im a sucker for a slight bending of realism in order to accommodate a happy ending where the mc ends up together, but i think this was the happiest ending possible. jungkwon finally put his pride aside and used the money HE worked for to build the foundation for a beautiful and safe life for his family. kangjin gets to start over somewhere new and literally learn how to stand on his own two feet. ofc my love chisoo… again wouldve loved an unrealistic ending where he and kangjin couldve quietly settled down somewhere, but it rly wasnt possible. if even the past boss couldnt get away safely, there was just no world in which chisoo could escape his world, and there was also no way kangjin could be happy inside that suffocating world. it’s awful and gut wrenching, but i think that’s all we can really get from his story due to his circumstances. it’s not fair, but it’s not supposed to be; chisoo’s life is just unfair. it wouldve been nice to see roah get to a better place, but i think we can fill that in for ourselves. i like to think his promise w jungkwon was meaningful and will give him strength to keep fighting for the love he deserves. also just a side note, the “off the record” special eps were GENIUS. it’s such a heavy story with a lot of triggering topics (also HUGE kudos to the author for actually having appropriate tws and filling in ppl who had to skip those chapters) so constructing a 4th wall in order to shatter it rly helped cushion the emotional turmoil that rises from reading. i remember esp during my first read, those chapters were an amazing cope. ugh ts is just a fucking masterpiece.

I don't understand how it went from kangjin trying to kill himself in chapter 1 to jungkwon jerking both of them off in chapter 2. And apperently the jump to dating in chapter 2 also? So it's 70 chapters of them already in a relationship? I'm good. Dropped chapter 5.
